EWING TOWNSHIP -- Mike Chadima, 74, died Friday at the Compassionate Care Hospice. Born in Canada, Mr. Chadima lived in Trenton and Ewing Township for the past 20 years. He retired in 1998 after 20 years service at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Princeton. Also, he was employed at Iceland in Hamilton Township as a rink guard and was an ice hockey instructor. Mr. Chadima was a dedicated hockey player, playing with area "pick-up" teams and leagues. Son of the late Frantisek and Rozena Berglova Chadima; Mr. Chadima was the father of two sons, Jan and Vladimir. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Frantisek and Jiandra Chadima of Prague, Czech Republic; several nieces and nephews in Czech Republic; and many local friends. Funeral services will be conducted 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave., North Trenton with Fr. Mick Lambeth, of Sacred Heart Church, officiating. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Published in The Times, Trenton, on 12/28/2003. |
