Here are some old concert programs from 2 most famous east coast concerts, Philadelphia Civic Center, 8/4,5/74 and Cornell Barton Hall, 5/8/77. I was up front and very close to the stage at all 3 shows. I find the old ads interesting especially our ad from Ithaca.

Also we did sound in 1977 at Nite Court for the Talking Heads. My friend Taz, (Ithaca based dead band's drummer - Lost Sailors) used to work at Stellar Stereo too. Ithaca is just up the road from Binghamton, NY(Harpur College) home of Macintosh Amplifiers. The Last time I was at Taz's home, he had a room full of Mac2300s new in the box! Taz's sister knew Tina Weymouth from RISD so we hung and partied with the Talking Heads upstairs backstage!

And here is a shot of my piece of the Wall of Sound I got when I did FOH mixing for Kingfish on the east coast in 1979.

Stu and Rick Greene of Midnight Sun Management are still at it at:

Send them a thanks! Modular has provided sound for their acts on and off over the years. Rick told me once that the reason why the Dead were so fired up for 8/5/74 was that they took the band to Bookbinders before the show!

I just spoke to Stu today and he has one Civic Center copy in much better condition than these documents, except it has been punched to fit into a 3 ring binder! I may get and upload at a later time. I like the age spots myself as a reminder of how far we have all come.

I met Robyn Gately at the 8/4/74 show. Robyn has an article in the Barton program and an ad from the genesis of our sound business - Joe's Sound and Salami Co., Ithaca, NY. We did sound for the Robert Klein show on the Cornell Campus. We traded Cornell article and ad space for a discount. Robyn was also Bruce Springstein's old FOH engineer and acoustic designer from summer 1975 tours. Robyn's dad Ed of Gately Electronics, sold the Clair Brothers their first audio console in the early 60s and later worked with David Hafler. Robyn moved to Maui in 1991 and one of the last times he called me he asked me to guess who was in his office at KPOA radio in Lahina. I didn't know. "Jerry Garcia!", he replied. His boss was good friends with Jerry and they wre all going out on a snorkle trip. Robyn drowned tragically in the Straights of Maui in 1995 in a Hobbie Cat accident trying to save his family dog that fell overboard. This page is dedicated to his memory. Thank you Robyn.
